ABOUT / NEWS

Carlos Medina Maldonado is an actor originally from Puerto Rico. He strives to create expressive, thought-provoking theatre that challenges the status quo. He holds a BFA in Acting from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MFA in Performance & Pedagogy from Texas Tech University. Recent directing credits include Guapa by Caridad Svich at Texas Tech University and Chicago by John Kander & Fred Ebb with Summer Stock Stage in Indianapolis. Select acting credits include You Can't Take It With You (Ed Carmichael) at the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Macbeth (Macbeth) for The Indianapolis Shakespeare Company Travelling Troupe, and How to Use a Knife (Carlos) at the Phoenix Theatre Indianapolis.

Upcoming: 

 

-Carlos will be playing Antipholus of Daytona in Comedy of Errors with Indianapolis Shakespeare Company this upcoming July! Come see us for free at the Taggart Memorial Ampitheater July 24th to August 2nd!

-Carlos will be directing The Hispanic/Latino/Latina/Latinx/Latine Vote by Bernardo Cubría with Fonseca Theater Company, opening March 12th, 2026.

 

-Carlos will be directing Extreme Home Makeover by Makasha Copeland with American Lives Theatre, opening July 26th, 2026.
